Seeing With New Eyes

Seeing With New Eyes

It has been said that we go about looking but never truly seeing. The Apostle Paul prays “that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you might know the hope to which he has called you” (Ephesians 1:18). Are there eyes in our hearts? Of course not literally, but the heart knows and sees things we might not ordinarily see. This is a spiritual process, with aspects of life being seen with the eyes of our heart we cannot otherwise see. I pray, along with the Apostle Paul, that the eyes of your heart would be enlightened, and in this way know the hope to which he has called you.
