This Will Surely Pass

One of my father’s favorite sayings when things go badly is, “This will pass.” I now find those words comforting when things go poorly. Having lived a certain number of growing years, I know that troubles pass and “weeping may last for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning” (Psalms 30:5). When facing the trials and struggles that come your way, remind yourself that weeping lasts a short time and joy will come in the morning.
