While it is true that some women have delayed motherhood; I think many Christian women get married at a later age and face the same issues for a number of reasons.

First, while both men and women have a biological clock we cannot deny that marriage must be in the will of the Lord. To attempt to beat the biological clock by getting married out of a fear that you will be unable to have children does not demonstrate faith in God and is certain to lead to trouble.

Second, the dearth of Christian men in the church is a serious issue that is yet to be seriously addressed by the church. In most congregations in the United States there is an obvious imbalance - large numbers of women and very few men. How can these women get married if there are no partners?

Third, while there are strong, marriageable Christian men their numbers are small. Today, it is commonplace to find women more committed to the Christian faith than men. Where are the eligible suitors?
