This article is a wonderful blessing, just when I needed it most. My son who is 19 years old will be released from jail tomorrow. This was his 7th time in jail since he turned 18. Last night, I felt like the Lord was telling me there was something He wanted me to read on the Crosswalk site. This article ministered to my hurting heart so much.....and in the Lord's timing, our sermon at church this morning was about the exact same passage Rebekah discussed in this article (Matt 15:21 - 28). In his sermon, our pastor talked to the parents of prodigals and said never ever give up praying and interceding for your wayward son or daughter and looked directly at my husband and I. Thank you Rebekah for your wonderful insight into this Mother's heart. God bless you and your ministry.

It has been such a faith walk, I always said God gave me a heathern and a preacher. My daughter struggled through her adolescent years with nothing but prayer and tears on my part. She was so rebellious and angry at the world I did not understand. She had 2 beautiful children that she just could not sacrifice her life for. Then something started to change in her. The children made her realize how important God was and she started to go to church. She then got killed in a car accident and now I have the legend of her precious children to once again teach of Christ and his love. My son was always the picture perfect child. He was called to the ministry when he was a senior in high school. He graduated college with honors and went on the Liberty to pursue his calling, when his sister got killed he was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. His life has been a terrible storm since that day. He has lost everything and is now roaming around homeless. I continue to pray God will heal.

This was such an affirming article and confirming what God has guided me to do with my children. Thank you so much. I pray for them daily sometimes telling God that I must be so repetitive, but my mother's heart knows no one else but Him to take my pleadings to that has the power to do in my children what is needed. Thank you, again.
