The reason we homeschool is that the Bible does not call us to send our children to be missionaries. It says to train them in the way they should go and that it should be at every moment that the training is happening. For us to have our children trained thoroughly in apologetics before they leave our home, we need to be training them all day long. A Biblical worldview is impossible to learn at public school.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all knowledge. PS teaches the children to gain knowledge to go to college or have a great career. The greatest knowledge that we have to pass on is the knowledge of the Lord. If that takes us all day long, then so be it. Not to mention the family unit is strengthened in every way by having our children at home. When our children are trained and ready, we will be excited to send them out into the world to change it for Christ. We are missionaries in our neighborhood and wherever God places us on a daily basis. Maranatha!

What's wrong with sending your children to school? RE: the comment with the quotes from the Bible? You can still teach your children all that the Lord tells us and still have your children in school. It's going to come from the parent's one way or another.

It is amazing how the mind of man can rationalize ("sensed God’s confirmation") something as unscriptual as sending your children to Ceaser for their upbringing. Instead, we should look to scripture for wisdom.
Ephesians 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Deuteronomy 6:6-8 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Isaiah 54:13 And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
Jeremiah 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. Also see,1 Corinthians 15:33, James 3:13-18, Matthew 18:6, Psalms 119:97-104,Psalms 127:3-5, Genesis 33:5

Public School versis Private Chritstian School versis homeschooling....the options seem daunting. What I like about this article is that is tells parents there is no ONE right answer. Each child is different and their needs and adaptability and a parents own personal convictions after praying must all be taken into account. We send our four children to private school and it is costly ($4000 per child). We choose to skip the fancy vacations, new cars, eating out, and a bigger house (we purposely bought a smaller house with a smaller mortgage so we could still afford christian school) in order to afford it. God has made it clear for us that this is what he wants us to do for our kids. But I know many parents whose children thrive in the public school. The key is prayer. Ask for guidance, and God will tell you. It's pretty amazing.

Rather or not your child goes to a public or private school should not be the determining factor in the final decision making. Parental involvement must become the key factor!!! Living in Chicago, my wife and I have 4 children (7, 4 and twins-1). Private school cost well over 6,000 annually (and that's the least expensive). We sent our oldest to a private Christian school and she learned just as much worldly views as she would in a public school. I then decided to run for board president at a Chicago Public School and promote parental involvement (escepially with men). As a result, parents became more involved and testimonies started to surface. My children know that they are peculiar little people making a difference in their peers lives due to their beliefs and as a result, the reflection of Christ is seen.
Rather or not you send your child(ren) to a public or private school, they need to know that they are set apart and not inclusive.
