I used to agree completely with this understanding but I no longer hold to that view. 8% of children that come from Christian homes will stay in the church after high school. www.nehemiah.com. Because our children are NOT being trained in apologetics. We can say, "We don't believe that and here's what we believe." But if your children are not understanding the overwhelming authority of scripture, they will not be able to stand unless they go running to someone else. They need to find the answers themselves (with help while young) so that they will go to the Word for answers and have a Biblical world view. But to say that the secular world which denies and hates God, is qualified to teach my children anything, let alone the opposite of what the Word says, is not acceptable to me. Science, art, math, everything comes from the Lord. How can the secular world teach that? It doesn't and it can't. That's our job.
