"Christians are wasting time and resources trying to "improve" public schools."

Boy, I hope God doesn't feel he's wasting his time and resources trying to "improve" you...

Karl,

Your helpless view of the public school system does nothing for the expansion of the gospel. What about going out to all nations (or locations) and making disciples? Are you so easy to sit back and write off those in the public school system as hopeless and beneath you? What about those oppressive, left-wing or communist controlled countries of the world? Should we not send missionaries because of their hopeless nature?

Karl-

I am sad to see you have given up hope on public schools. I just hope God does not have the same opinion as you do.

My experiences (I am now retired) as a public school educator, have proven--beyond the shadow of a doubt--that the public schools cannot be changed. Coupling that with my observations of the dumbing down of public education confirms there is no hope to improve the pitiful academic situation in public schools. Even worse, the public schools are controlled by the ACLU, teacher unions , and other left-wing extremists which make the public schools detrimental, even dangerous, to all children--especially Christian children.

Christians are wasting time and resources trying to "improve" public schools.

I now encourage folks to get their children out of the public schools as articulated by Exodus Mandate (http://www.exodusmandate.org/). Briefly, this ministry seeks to counsel parents regarding their obligation to provide their children with a Christian education either in Christian or home schools.

IT is a little to Bible and Verse. The article points out how the soul and mind are intertwined but it is deeper than that.
It is Body, Mind, Emotions, Spirit and Will. I think the Father of the Prodigal understood that well. Most kids follow feelings and are not into the Thoughts and Will processes.

I loved this article. Thanks for writing it. I rated it a 5 but for some reason it is displaying a 2 out of 5 rating. I don't kknow how to fix that.
