Thanks, Kym; your lessons encouraged me. I clicked on your article b/c I was curious what "made-up" positives could be found. Our son's situation doesn't have a label that we're aware of; maybe teachers & family would be more understanding then. Our 13-y-o son's been tested every way imaginable and no reason has been found why he shuts down mid-way through a marking period and stops handing in work, except that he's depressed and may drift off permanently into his own reality if allowed to. We can fully identify with 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15 (the scariest part for me), 16, 17, 20, 23. May God strengthen our families for the long haul.

well new to the web site, 25yrs, christian male .. 13yr medical history in the nurological, phyicalicaly areas not fully treated. Faimly and I recently referred to someone with experience in highly functional autism, it seems as if i fit the mold well. I belive the verses should be rather helpful, and encouraging. Dose anyone have any advise on how to treat the quote medical situation and gather more info about it in a godly manner? a strong theme for me recently has been to slow down my thought process and be in the word more. Favorite verses Mat:25-34
Thanks Chevy52

As a mom of an autistic child I really enjoyed your article! I can relate to so many of your points esp stepping out of your comfort zone and being your child's advocate. It is a very humbling experience and feel I am truly blessed to have him in our lives although there are difficult times and it's a life long learning experience. So much of the therapy he has done has really helped him and I'm encouraged every day. I admire you!
