Dear Crosswalk,
Thank you very much for your article about teaching girls modesty. Parents must teach their daughters modesty long before they're preteens. They should begin teaching modesty as soon as a little girl is able to talk. The author made alot of good points but a vitally important one is that dressing imodestly can and does lead to girls being sexually asaulted or raped. I know because I dressed imodestly from age 12 to age 14. No girl or woman ever deserves to be violated but I know now that the way I dressed contributed to my pastor sexually asaulting me when I was 14. It's possible that if I had dressed more modestly this wouldn't have happened to me. I do know that I can't stand to dress that way anymore. I believe that modest, calf length dresses,or skirts without slits are the most modest clothing a girl can wear. I have found that they are ALOT more comfortable than pants. (I think it's obvious what a modest shirt or blouse is.)
