While this may be true to most, it is not to all cases. I believe that there are other external factors that cause homosexuality, and these factors are just overlooked. Even the way a child is lovingly treated in his childhood can also contribute to his sexuality. If lovingly seen and treated as a girl, a little boy can perceive acceptance being a girl. External influence too is a very big factor. In a society where homosexuality is publicly applauded and where suspected children are presented the choice to become homosexuals, you can expect a rapid increase of the number of homosexuals. The keyword here is ACCEPTANCE. If a child cannot find acceptance somewhere else, and homosexuality awaits with wide open arms, whether he has unloving parents or not, he will turn to where he finds it to feel happy about himself. The way we treat a child is like dressing him up and placing a mirror before him. What he sees is what he will perceive as himself, and so that he will become.

I'm as straight as they come, although Mom's rule causes some inhibition. But I don't seek, nor can I imagine, what the heck to do with another man.

I can't say that I understand the reason or instinct for heterosexual attraction, nor homosexual attraction, but I can tell you the reasons stated here are bogus.
