I was sort of curious about one woman mentioned, Rahab. I was wandering if the author was talking of Rachab, I have tried to follow the time line for this particular entry but I can not get her placing to fall into the right time frame for Rahab and Rachab to be the same person.I have heard this mentioned several times and was curios if any one has the proper time frame for these two ladies to be the same person.I would appreciate any insight one this. I did like the article tho.

This was a very good article, but there is just one line that concerns me...and I am not a theologian, just a struggling Christian.
Towards the end,the author says, Jesus did not come for "moral reform" but for eternal salvation. I always thought that those who came to Him in truth, had a reformation? If we meet Christ, doesn't He say, "neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more?" The power to overcome any sin is through Him, and not just for eternity, but for our daily life and struggles.
Our morals will change as our lives our changed, by His Holy Spirit working in us. I do not think moral reformation is mutually exclusive of eternal salvation, but both are from Him.
But maybe I just misunderstood what the author meant...

For Jesus' family tree set to music, check "Matthew's Begats" by Andrew Peterson.
