I could be wrong, but I seem to hear, "I thank God that I am not like these others (who shall remain anonymous)."

If there's a point to the back story, I missed it, unless the back story is a bad attempt at backstabbing (anonymously, of course).

I'd like to share my experience. I am a single female. I have experienced the loss of all important earthly things. Health, career, car, and then the worst, my own blood family shunned me completely for my faith, the only 3rd child, a sister, daughter, aunt, neice, because of my Bible believing and Christian faith. I was called a " Bible thumper, fundamentalist, Jesus fanatic, mentally ill" and far worse, After so much loss, I knew that God had called me into the ministry, first I needed to heal my own life. Here are a few things I have experienced in " our " Christian churches today. Being sent to a back room because I was the only woman in the bible study, being called at home and harassed by a Pastor who told me not to share my faith with others because I was not giving out the proper bible translation { I give away used Bibles to evangelize }: The people I have met in the real world hate going to most churches for a reason... WE ARE THE CHURCH, let's act like it..

Interesting article.

I'm a big believer that the Bible is more than soundbites. However, from a soundbite perspective, Proverbs 29:11 says:

"Fools vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back."

From that perspective, it looks like you're wise.

Ecclesiastes 3:7 says,

"A time to be quiet and a time to speak."

From that perspective, it is not clear where the wisdom is.

Another interesting sound bite is from 1 Thessalonians 4:11:

"Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before."

At the time of that biblical writing, being Christian was hard, so does God want us to do that now? Jesus certainly rocked the boat of many biblical leaders.

Since your story seems to be slanted about how well you are behaving, calling out the offensive church does sound trite. However, there are many warnings about false prophets; maybe there is somthing you can and should be doing?
