My opinion and this is just my opinion. I feel have the festival is great and not just for halloween. I also feel that if I have done my job as a parent, my family isn't fear-ful of halloween. Today's defination is not the same as years ago. As long as my child knows the Gospal and the truth, I don't worry about her having fun "trick or treating" As with most children, halloween is not about worshiping the devil, it is about scaring your friends and eating too much candy

It seems to me that many years ago the Church proactively took a pagan holiday and made it a Christian one. All Hallows Even. We now decided that it has become secularized, so we will merrily join in an overtly pagan Fall Festival to celebrate the harvest. How does that make sense? I think Hank Hanegraaff summed it up well:
