I Love Your Presence - Live From the UK

reviewed by Russ Breimeier

I Love Your Presence is a recording of live worship from the Doing the Stuff worship conference in London last year. (In the UK, the album is titled Doing the Stuff Live). The recording features a live collection of songs from the recent release, Surrender ("Hallelujah," "Your Love Is Amazing," and "All Who Are Thirsty"), as well as some old favorites ("Blessed Be the Name" and "Who Is This?"). Featuring worship leaders Benton Brown and Kathryn Scott, this is more of the British praise and worship that has made albums such as Winds of Worship Volume 12 and Hungry so popular.

I was personally disappointed with Surrender (a sequel of sorts to Hungry), partially because the songs weren't quite as good and the recording lacked energy. Though this doesn't rock quite as much as Winds of Worship and Hungry, I Love Your Presence proves that live worship albums are generally more exciting because they're more energetic and spontaneous. In other words, this improves upon the material from Surrender. Especially powerful is the slow and strong build of "Blessed Be the Name." If you're looking for more solid British praise and worship, look no further than I Love Your Presence.
