In a nutshell: Joy Williams takes an unexpected journey with her new EP, One of Those Days. With songs that aren't specifically marketed towards the Christian community (like her previous albums), Joy does not directly mention Jesus but sings about the challenges and gifts of everyday life—from heartbreak (I'm Gonna Break Your Heart) to the beauty of living (Charmed Life). With a new indie pop style reflective of artist like Regina Spektor and Maria Taylor, Williams' new piano driven tunes will hit your sweet tooth (Charmed Life) and your funny bone (One of Those Days), but mostly your heart. Giving us an album woven together with self discovery and delicate observation, we rediscover Joy in an artistry that is all her own.
