She Colors My Day

In a nutshell: We always hear about how good things come to those who wait. But for Amy Grant fans, the collective response has become, "Seriously, how long?" After compiling a kickin' live CD and DVD in 2006 and a lovely best-of Christmas CD last year, Grant now releases an iTunes-exclusive four-song EP to again whet appetites for her perpetually rumored new CD. The two new songs here, released to coincide with Mother's Day, are produced with the folksy candor of her timeless early catalog and the royalties from the title track will benefit cancer research. (Two older songs, "Baby Baby" and "Oh, How the Years Go By," round out the project.) Not a lot of new music, but enough to keep us longing for the full deal.
