Marrying slick R&B with inspirational messages and straight-up church soul sangin', the singer/songwriter makes a noticeable mark for a newcomer. Though his debut makes few advances on the genre, his Contemporary Urban dialect derives plenty from and expounds upon classic gospel, assuaging the pedigree for at least another generation.?
