Style: The punchy Brit-rock sound of groups like The Killers and U2, and heavily influenced by pop-rockers like Switchfoot and Sanctus Real. Top tracks: "Confession," "Providence," "Atmosphere"

In a nutshell: The Texas boys with the Brit-rock sound have finally released their first full-length album after a pair of EPs. There are only four new tracks here, but hearing all the tunes together brings out a clear theme—" a promise of rescue," as frontman Josh Engler says. "You will see a light of hope through the dark." Abandon rocks heavy here, only slowing it down for a few of the new tracks like "Here We Are Now" and "Safe in Your Arms." If you already have the two EPs, I suggest hitting up iTunes to download the new tracks. If you don't, this is a record worth checking out.
