Sharing Regrets and Tears

Dr. David B. Hawkins

I watched recently as a couple shared their tears with one another, tears of regret for how they had treated each other for years. Clasping hands, they apologized for how they had hurt each other. They vowed not to hurt each other in the same ways again. They embraced and hugged for a long moment. Sharing how you don’t want to hurt your mate, how you want the best for your mate, can be a powerful, healing moment. Consider sharing your tears of regret with your mate and note the healing power of this moment. “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret.” (2 Corinthians 7:10-16)
