I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear and will trust in the Lord.
Refocus your mind to make your life a song of praise to God!
How has the Lord been involved in your life? Have you been through some difficult experiences, yet seen that God has walked through them with you? Has God let you see more of His love and care for you? Has He brought you to a new understanding of His life principles? Has your relationship with Him brought stability to your uncertain circumstances?
Rather than focusing on your circumstances, focus your life on God and what He is doing in your life. The Lord Jesus will bring great joy to you if you will take time to grow close to Him. He’ll lift you up and set your feet on a rock.
When you organize your life around Him, you will find that where there was only inward-looking discouragement, He has brought you “a new song” and you will want to praise Him in all things.
