Day Two: Look to the Hills

Lori Freeland

Let's prayer for our own children to grow and mature and become world changers.

If you're just joining this 21 day campaign, you can find an explanation hereTake A Spin Down Intercession Avenue.

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.

I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

Dear Kyle,

When you were little and as you grew, knowing that I wasn't on my own as a parent offered me relief in a thousand different moments of worry. There were days and hours and seconds I agonized over your relationship with God, your health, your self-esteem, your future...the list is endless.

But I didn't have to shape you alone. God was there. And He's there now. I am so grateful it's Him I can turn to for help.

Prayer:

Lord, today I want to thank You for being so powerful. Thank you for seeing things we cannot. Thank you for offering your so-much-larger hands to hold us up. You know what Kyle needs to be successful in college, in his career, and in his life. So I lift up my eyes and hands to You and ask You to intercede and make things right. You are amazing today and every day.

If you know someone this campaign would bless, please share this post. And I'd love to read your comments. Do you have a child in your life that you've committed to pray for over the next 21 days? Let me pray with you.
