Something to Ponder

Dr. Ray Pritchard

Something to ponder . . . “Let another person praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips" (Proverbs 27:2).

Praise is a beautiful garment that looks tacky if you put it on yourself.
If you have to tell me how great you are, how great can you really be?

Michael Jordan didn’t have to brag.

On the other hand, we have a duty to praise others when praise is merited. The old adage “Catch them doing something right” is always good advice.

So here’s the bottom line:

Don’t brag. It’s tacky.
Say a kind word to someone today.

Pretty simple, but we’d all be better off if we took this to heart.
