Time with God - July 2, 2014

2 Corinthians 9:8

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.

This verse is in the middle of a section of Scripture on financial giving. God is telling us that as we obey and honor Him, He is able to provide all our needs to the place where we are able to really bless others in our lives.

“So that you may have an abundance for every good deed.” How are you using the abundance that God has given you? Are you using it “for every good deed”? That is the reason God gave it to you.

God doesn’t give us financial blessings, large or small, just for our own benefit. Everything we have belongs to Him and He wants us to use it for His purposes. Every financial and material blessing in your life is an expression of God’s grace to you, blessing you with the ability to use it for something that will make a spiritual impact in this world.

God is calling you today to acknowledge that everything you have has ultimately come from Him. He wants you to put it all into His hands and say, “Lord, how can I use what You have blessed me with to be a blessing to others?” Trust Him in this, and you’ll see His provision for your generosity.
