Hillary Clinton: Republicans' Views on Women Comparable to That of Terrorists

Veronica Neffinger

While speaking at a campaign event in Cleveland, Ohio, Hillary Clinton compared Republicans’ views about women to that of terrorists.

Clinton condemned Republicans for their stance against Planned Parenthood which Clinton says provides healthcare to women. Clinton also asserted that Republican views are not in step with the 21st century.

“Now extreme views about women? We expect that from some terrorist groups. We expect that from people who don’t want to live in the modern world,’’ Clinton stated. “But it’s a little hard to take coming from Republicans who want to be the president of the United States, yet they espouse out-of-date and out-of-touch policies.

“They are dead wrong for 21st century America,” Clinton added.

Clinton also came down against Republican presidential candidates Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, and John Kasich, accusing them of preventing women from getting the healthcare they need. Clinton also criticized Rubio and Kasich for being against abortion even in cases of rape and incest.

Republicans swiftly called for an apology from Clinton regarding her inflammatory remarks. Allison Moore, Republican National Committee press secretary, said that Clinton should apologize immediately.

Clinton is specifically directing her campaign to focus on women’s issues, but USA Today notes that she will need to get both the single and married women vote, since polls show her support from men is lagging.
