The LORD Our Creator

“You alone are the Lord; You have made heaven,
the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and everything on it, the seas and all that is in them, and You preserve them all….” - >Nehemiah 9:6

God’s people declare a great truth in their prayers and praise of the Lord. The LORD is Creator. He made the heavens and the earth.  Psalm 19:1 confirms this truth: Theheavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork. Psalm 147:4 proclaims:He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.

God had said to Abraham in Genesis 15:5:“Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” God had promised to David: “ ‘Asthe host of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the descendants of David My servant…’ ” (Jeremiah 33:22).

Galileo was wrong about his count of the stars. When he looked at them through his homemade telescope, he increased the count of visible stars from about 3,000 with the naked eye, in one hemisphere, to 30,000. But the stars are innumerable! If only scientists would have read the Bible, they would have found out these evidences in the Scriptures.

Scientists should have also read Nehemiah 9:6, because God not only created the heaven––the sky and space of our galaxy––but the heaven of heavens, all the other galaxies in the universe. Recently, through today’s technology, such as the Hubble space telescope, astronomers have discovered many more spiral galaxies. Incredibly, even a new solar system has been found. It has seven earth-like planets orbiting a nearby star––amazing!

Incredibly, the Gospel was written in the stars. The Star of Bethlehem was a sign in the heavens that the Messiah was going to be born.

“For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”
~Matthew 2:2~
