Our gracious heavenly Father, we love You and praise You! You alone Are worthy of all glory and honor, forever! May our words be a sweet sound in Your ear, as we lift before You our families and children. Father, every year we come before You, believing the culture MUST have finally hit rock bottom...and then…another outrage, a new low. It’s gotten to the point where 1 in every 3 millennials don’t even WANT to raise children in this world! Lord God, I feel the first thing we need to do is confess our sin. We confess that we have set our own sliding scale as a standard for righteousness. We’ve expected lives of comfort and happiness, rather than hearts that are contrite and holy. Forgive us Lord! May we be humble, as we bow before You, begging for Your protection and healing for our families. May it begin with marriages that are built upon the platform of self-sacrificing love; a lifelong commitment, established through an unbreakable covenant between a man, a woman, and Jesus Christ! May our families grow, through natural childbirth, foster care, and adoption; Lord, You’ve knitted my family together like a patchwork quilt! Yet, regardless of how it was constructed, it keeps all of us warm! Inspire Your church to embrace single parents and orphans; remind us of Your mighty heart for Biblical justice! Help us speak with an unwavering voice for the unborn…and then, follow our words with action! And Lord…make us moms and dads with the guts to be their parents, and not their friends! May we set examples our kids can’t miss in our homes: eyes that won’t look upon worldly filth in the culture! Lips that praise, and not curse; words that uplift and not tear down. May our children see us reading Your Word, and praying for Your will. Help us exhibit a genuine caring for others that doesn’t end as we walk out the church door every Sunday. And an obvious love for our spouse that will make our kids feel safe and secure, and want what WE have in their own homes someday! Father, I pray today for a family revival! And may it begin at MY home address! May each of us say, as we choose this day, just whom we will serve: “As for me and MY house…we will serve the Lord!” In the Name of Jesus…Amen!
