Conservative actors Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn will reportedly star in a new police thriller to be released in 2018.

According to TheBlaze.com, Gibson and Vaughn will play two cops in the new film called “Dragged Across the Concrete” who get in trouble for being too rough when apprehending lawbreakers.

S. Craig Zahler, who directed the film, describes it this way:

“‘Dragged Across Concrete is best suited to my goal of making a heartfelt, surprising, sad, funny, shocking, and memorable world with multiple viewpoints.  As is often the case in my novels and screenplays, the protagonists are in perilous circumstances against which they struggle in different and surprising—though logical—ways.  I am absolutely thrilled to have Mel and Vince agree to play the lead roles.”

Gibson is known for his Christian faith in Hollywood, and is known in Christian circles especially due to his 2004 film “The Passion of the Christ.”

Gibson also directed the recent film “Hacksaw Ridge,” about a Christian soldier in World War II who believes in saving lives rather than taking them.

Vaughn is also reportedly a conservative, stating that “I’ve always been, you know, more conservative than not,” according to a Politico article.
