Ryan Duncan

Peter Sallis, the distinctive voice behind the beloved Wallace and Gromit Claymation films, has peacefully passed away at 96. According to BBC news, Sallis spent his last hours surrounded by family. Sallis appeared in numerous theatrical roles over the course of his lifetime. However, he is best remembered for his work as the good-natured, eccentric inventor who lived alongside his loyal dog, Gromit. The Wallace and Gromit would go on to become famous for its spectacular use of Claymation design, and helped to spearhead future movies such as Chicken Run and Kubo and the Two Strings. The combined films even won three Oscars.

Sallis often spoke of how grateful he was to have found such success late in life. It’s no doubt he will be deeply missed by fans.
