Time with God - June 29, 2017

Isaiah 48:17-19

“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go. Oh that you had paid attention to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea; your offspring would have been like the sand, and your descendants like its grains; their name would never be cut off or destroyed.’”

It is always a mistake to ignore God!

Do you hear God’s heart of love coming through this passage to you today, just as it came through to Israel in Isaiah’s day? God wants you to do well and to experience the riches of His blessings in your life when you pay attention to him and respond to his leading in your life and obey his word.

God is not waiting for you to do something wrong so he can punish you; he is waiting for you to do what is right so he can bless you! He wishes you would pay attention to him more often so he could bless you more. “Oh that you had paid attention to my commandments!”

If you will learn to pay attention to God as a way of life, listening so he can lead, then you will never have to look back and say “if only!”
