"We Are Fervently Praying For You"

Dr. Ray Pritchard

I just received a nice note from a family in our church assuring me of their prayers. Here is part of what they wrote:

Dear Pastor Ray, we are fervently praying for you and this important sermon series! I love to sing worship songs to God in the early AM and this was one verse of a song I prayed for you titled Protector of My Soul,  Oh Holy Spirit come. Show the world where life comes from. May they always see, You alive in me. Oh Holy Spirit come.

(The note mentioned praying for our oldest son in China. And good news about the husband's recovery from a series of surgeries. The wife is studying to become a nurse. Their children love to pray for missionaries. Every word was incredibly upbeat and filled with hope.)

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow! Our family has Christ's love for you and yours. We are grateful you are our shepherd! Thank you for feeding us, God's sheep. P.S. I am privileged to be a prayer room warrior this Sun. 8:30, standing in the gap for you. Keep your full armor on, cinched tight.

As I mentioned in yesterday's entry, it's been a difficult week. But this note lifted my spirits. Would you like to encourage your pastor? Tell him you are praying for him. Write him a note. Your words will put a smile on his face, joy in his heart, and a spring in his step. It certainly did that for me this morning.
