Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.

--Proverbs 3:27

One of the most important things my parents taught me growing up was to love people and use things—not to use people and love things.

Parents, we’re to show our kids by example and encouragement that love is an action, not just a feeling.

Our kids watch us, and they know if we’re applying this truth to our lives. They know if we’re caring, and they know if we’re rude or kind to people. They know if we slander and gossip about people around our house or if we build people up.

Our kids are smart enough to know if we care about people!

Wise families learn that life is not just about me. It’s about sharing what we have with our neighbors and the nations. We have something they need—Jesus Christ!—and we must not withhold it.

Teach your children to give a personal faith in witness and in love to those around them.

WISE FAMILIES LEARN HOW TO CARE ABOUT PEOPLE.
