I had failed to ask the Lord about His plans for this week and made my own plans,booking flights to see my son and family including Robert (16months) whom I haven't seen since April.
Instead my husband was admitted to hospital and was declared to be very ill. Suddenly all my focus shifted - first to my husband, then to the medical and nursing team, then to our Saviour - our very present help in time of trouble.
And I have experienced joy in turning the pain, anxiety and disappointment over to him.
My church family have all rallied round with prayer, offers of practical help and love and I have felt so supported. There could not have been a better experience!
My husband is now much better (answered prayer) and even becoming interested in Spiritual things for the first time! (More answered prayer) Praise the Lord with me.
