Jesus said that trees were recognized by their fruit. He said that a good tree could not produce corrupt fruit and that a corrupt tree could not produce good fruit. If the fruit proves to be good you can infer that the tree is good. If the fruit is corrupt you can rightfully infer that the tree is corrupt.
