If God can't talk to us personally, what makes our "religion" different that any other philosophy? The supernatural is the part of our life in God that makes us different than everybody else. The fact that God is interested in me and lives in me and walks with me and talks with me is the difference. John 14-16 talks about the Holy Ghost with us a comfortor. Well how is he going to fulfill His ministry that Jesus talked about if he doesn't actually talk to us??? Just a thought.

Why do Christians continue to demand more revelation than God has already provided in His Word? It not only is not Biblical to say God speaks to us in the manner the author claims, it is dangerous. We speak to God through prayer, He speaks to us through His Word. Yes, God uses circumstances, and the counsel of others (provided it is Biblical), but not in the manner of the Henry Blackabys, and so many others. I recommend reading the book, "Decision Making and The Will of God" by Gary Friesen and Robin Maxson for anyone interested in this topic.

Excellent advice on a very difficult problem. When you believe God is speaking to you about somthing important It is always wise to test its authenticity. God never rebuked, or even cautioned Gidean for setting out the fleece. Nor was
God the least bit irked when Gidean asked for a second fleece. But one needs great caution about human advice.
certainly they should be person, or people, of great faith
and deeply spiritual. When it comes to marriage or other
equal life importance. Very much prayer with "Not my will but Thine" submission in force, as did Jesus.
