It's true this article was basic--but it's nice to read something that is based in Scripture and to the point. I wrote the Scripture passages down to spend some time praying through them.

This is a great article. The article answered a question I did not even know that I had: How to start knowing God, and start making Him happy! I was thinking in terms of serving God, but I wasn't sure how to go about it. I never thought of doing something grand for God with a simple prayer...or even a simple gesture ---- something that I do everyday, but that I take for granted: serving my husband, children, and extended family and friends by being there for them. This article has been an absolute blessing.

I was touched by Bayless Conley's article. For some years it has been my deeply held conviction/belief that the search to know God was at the heart of a deep and abiding relationship with our Lord; and Rev. Conley's article was a stong confirmation of my position on this.

I lead "Battle Plan Ministry" [accessed by those words in Google]. BPM is a ministry to help Christians who're ensnared in sexual sin. As with Christ's mission statement in Luke 4: 18-19, it is the BPM mission to help free prisoners of illicit sexual habits so that they can walk free in Christ.

I only bring up BPM because it's our method to help our seekers to build a deep, intimate relationship with Christ; and in doing so, we ALWAYS find that those who seek to know God, and do so in an intimate way, no longer need the self medication found in sexual acting out; and they walk free in their knowldege of Christ. That was clearly the general message of Pastor Conley's piece on "knowing God." Rev. B. Berry

The article was good as far as it went, and I realize it was addressed to Christians, but it left out the name of Jesus completely, and as I read it I became more aware of it. You see, it's all about Jesus. The Muslims talk about God, but as we know the God they refer to is not the One God of the Universe. They do not recognize Jesus, and anyone who does not acknowledge Jesus does not know God.

The sentiment of the article was good, but we have to remember that it is only through Jesus that we can come to God our heavenly Father.

Haleluja! I am all for that. For the past two days I have been praying this prayer, this deep desire to know God even more. Dont get me wrong, I always run with my requests to God, but I believe its the Holy Spirit that planted this desire in me.

I believe if all the children of God can forget about their circumstances and have this deep desire to know Him, the Kingdom of Heaven will be here on earth. We have to die to self and let God take control and do His work.

I could be wrong, can it be that the more we give in to ourselfes and not do Gods will, the more we postpone the judgement that awaits satan, the longer we will struggle in this world?

Anyway, its just a thought. I am not a leader on this field.

Thanks for the article. I enjoyed it:-)
