Christian writer should do a little more research regarding the origin of marriage licenses. It began as a petition to the state (a sovereign, a god) for permission to marry interracially. THe state (a sovereign, a god) continued this practice as a means to change our legal status from a free citizen to a ward of the state. When a person petitions the state for approval to marry they are taking the legal position as an incompetent person unable to handle their family, legal and financial affairs. The state (a sovereign, a god) approves the petition and creates a three party limited partnership evidenced by a marriage license contract. just like your dog license you take on the legal responsibility of a dog owner. Approval to your petition for mariage and change of status from a free person now makes you a taxpayer where before you were only a tither (to the one and only true God) to pay Ceaser.

I agree completely, I got married to a man, and I thought the relationship would last forever. But then two days later he goes to the local bar and says to the bartender "Alright, I married her, now give me the 200$!" I was so mad I slapped him and divorced instantly, and now he is taking my money through our divorce papers!
