Ughhh, as painful as it is to accept, you speak the truth. Like you, I've made the choice to be single rather than grab anyone that "sounds good." But everytime I come to terms with the fact that marriage may not be part of God's plan for me, Satan's voice starts whispering in my ear. Thankfully, I have a greater desire to be in God's will rather than my own (I've tried that already) so I've gotten this far. But it's still painful to know that this may never happen.

Now, on the flip side, with the number of singles growing, it seems that there are a lot more people waiting for the right person. If that's the case, then it seems to me that the right person shouldn't be so far away. More and more people are tired of foolishness and are ready to make that conscious choice to love and respect and share their lives with a spouse. Hence, the great mystery you spoke of. Well, as long as there are people feeling the same way, I will still have hope that the possibility still exists. :)
