The Gift of Singleness: Part III

There is nothing wrong with being single! Living in this fallen broken down world is tough period. If you are a single who is constantly attracting the opposite sex (or you are constantly attracted to the opposite sex) maybe you need to settle up with just one and ask the Lord for the grace to remain married to one all the days of your life. I strongly believe that more than anything else is for us believers to find our place whether as singles or as married people by being constantly in the presence of the Lord so that we do not become discontent and unfulfilled. In the West we are not taught to wait on the Lord properly but really to drag Him along our own agenda and hope that He fits in somewhere. Many believers do not know their Heavenly Father. We also need to be true to ourselves by being honest enough to admit whether we want to be married at all. Life is tough either way and the only thing that can keep us well is our fellowship with God and His Word through His Holy Spirit.
