"This would have been an opportune time for Jesus to be inclusive and expand marriage to other constellations of relationships (man-man, woman-woman, groups, human-nonhuman, etc). Instead, He expands the reach of the Law. (Evidently, He didn’t foresee the revelations of twentieth century science!)"--This is a quote from your article. Excluding all the other false teachings I find it offensive that someone who claims that Jesus Christ is Lord wants to tell him how to rewrite his Words or at least offer advice. Evidently He did forsee and didnt allow people like you to use his Words to pervert their own doctrine, apparently you can do it all on your own. This portion is not a gay issue it is biblical truth issue.

Today a mixed multitude of believers are following the world to reject everything about the Awesome Almighty God and Father of lights Who said "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;..." and are now saying "Let me (we are too selfish to be united) make God in my [warped] image and His creation, according to my [warped] likeness;..." We are not advancing the more liberal we become and the more technology we discover we are fast heading to destruction and if not for the grace of God the way we human beings are going we would all be wiped out. If not for male & female union the homosexual generation would not last one lifetime if they were left to reproduce after their own kind. We all need help and change from God and not justify our sinful nature just because we refuse to submit to God and rather give in to own self willed destructive natures. I know what I am talking about.

And one more thing, homosexuality and most other sexual perversions tend to manifest themselves the most when we become self-sufficient, 'prosperous', full up to the point of unfulfilment such as what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah before the manifestation of homosexual sin was filled to the brim of God's cup: Sodom's sins were pride, laziness, and gluttony, while the poor and needy suffered outside her door. She was proud and did loathsome things, so I wiped her out, as you have seen. When we are no longer faithful to our Creator, God our Heavenly Father, we will worship something and that is when we commit spiritual adultery and fornication and it will eventually manifest itself as one of or all of these sins - greed and idolatry(inordinate desire for wealth and material comforts at the expense or the detriment of others well-being); sexual immorality and pride (we are own gods and we do as we will). All these sins are very prominent today especially in the Western World.

It is better to obey than to know. Maybe too late after you know because much learning earns you much trouble. The more you know, the more you hurt. Man should have never eaten that fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil because we would not be ignorantly knowledgable about very simple straightforward matters like this. Sin is such a deception. How many believers follow the Lord today on a day and night basis? If I fornicate as my lifestyle because that is the way I feel maybe I should be a fornicator. Sin is sin and it is in our genetic makeup and it will never change even when we get saved. Till we leave this world we must submit to God and die daily to ourselves and it is tough and you don't have to be homosexual to identify with that struggle. It is a struggle we all have to deal with everyday because we all have sinful nature.

I'm sorry, but this is a fairly poor article from the standpoint of responding to the the ex-Exodus leaders. The author does nothing to show how their experiences from gay to "straight" to gay again is not a valid reason to doubt traditional Christian teachings on homosexuality. When one leader of the ex-gay movement bails and calls his former work a dangerous hoax, it's easy to brush him off as some sinful apostate. But when three leaders of a the ex-gay movement bail and call thier former work a dangerous hoax, you can't just toss out some Bible verses in their direction and claim victory. Their statements and experiences require much more of an in-depth examination and carefully explained response.

Fact: I was a homosexual (or someone with "same sex attractions") or whatever you want to call it. I HATED myself. I HATED men and I was very jealous of them! Yet I lusted and was attracted to men sexually. Does that make any sense to any of you? NO! Does that sound like someone who is spiritually whole and sound? NO! I remember when I first "came out of the closet" and embraced my homosexuality. I was thrilled and I felt like I was finally the person I was always suppose to be because as far back as I could remember, I was very feminine. I was close to my mother and had a distant father. I thought my mother was a superhero because she always saved me from my father's rages, etc. So I ruined a 15 year relationship with my wife (yes I was married and I called myself a Christian) to be with men. I have since realized through therapy that I was one messed up dude. My gayism was the catalyst that got me the help I needed both mentally and emotionally to become healthy minded.

My opinion on this article is that the person who wrote on it could have done a more thorough job, left me with more questions than answers. I believe that u can have the tendency to like the same sex, but does that make it right no, how can the same sex replenish the earth, if we depended on the homosexuals to replenish the earth like God said to do so, well it would not have happen because two men and two women cannot replenish the earth. We can twist the God's Word as much as we want to, but it does not change what is wrong and write. Christian wake up practicing homosexality and being a Christian is wrong, yes u can have the struggle but donot give into it, God's Grace and Power is enought to help u through and u can be an overcomer.

I thought that was a great article that taught me a lot about the difference between being gay and choosing homosexuality. It cleared up a lot of questions that were going through my head about certain people in my life.

I believe that homosexuality may well be genetically-linked, as, they say, is alcoholism. However, our genes are no longer a reflection of what God designed, due to sin and imperfection. In that respect, someone who has the gene to be an alcoholic still has the option to not drink. That is their choice, and often only made after they have caused and endured a lot of pain through their drinking. Likewise, a gay person may have that genetic predisposition, but they can make the choice to not practice homosexuality...
I have a major problem with the article, however: how can the author present an argument against homosexuality that is based on God and His design of the human body, yet throw in Darwin and evolution at the same time? If you are presenting points based on God's Word, then leave evolution out of it. That's a totally different point to be made to those who think this is all random and that nothing really matters. For them, the discussion of right vs. wrong is pointless...

I think we would do well to remember we are to love the sinner and hate the sin. When Paul was talking about grace in the new testament, didn't that mean we could continually sin because we are covered by grace, Paul said and the bible teaches, GOD FORBID. Some people are kleptomaniacs, people who can not help themselves from stealing, my spelling is not that great, should we say it is ok, just keep stealing because, "that is what you are"? That is absurd I know. We are to teach the bible in whole. Stealing is wrong just as being gay is wrong. We can not change people, but we as people can control ourselves and chose not to sin certain sins over and over again. Remeber, we are to love the sinner and hate the sin. Maybe if we did a better job of doing our part then others could be stronger and have more success doing their part. It is just a thought.

To say that one chooses to be gay is a falsehood. People do not choose to be gay. Perhaps you are confusing this with choosing to PRACTICE homosexuality. There is a huge difference. Anyone claiming they "choose" to be gay, thereby "choosing" to be straight again, was never gay in the first place.

CLEARING SOME THINGS UP

Karen Sue: Homosexuality is not always a choice. It is always a sin but most men who are homosexuals were molested when they were boys. They were sinned against in this area before they became twisted into this life.
Zabet: God does not make people gay. Adam sinned and all his children are born sinners. Also, though all of us are sinners, we are not equal in our guilt. That is why we will be judged individually according to our works (true believers) or according to our sins (all unbelievers). God does not condemn anyone to a lonely life. Remember that God so loved the world that He gave.... Jesus came into to the world to save sinners from their sins (Matthew 1:21) not in their sins.
And this is the condemnation that men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil (see John 3;15-21). One who becomes a true believer is cleansed from all sin (judicially) and grows in holiness in their daily life.
