The good thing is, God knows everything. Unlike the author, who wrongly thought that one of the children had died, God KNOWS when we are in danger, and knows how to respond. He does not make mistakes regarding our lives, praise Him!

On teh other side of the equation, I'd rather be faking death than faking life. While one can repent from going astray, it is much harder to repent when you think that you are ok.

It takes a lot not to fall into the 'Dead Man's Float.'
All it takes is not waking up early enough to set your day behind and you can look and have a spiritually dry day.
