Well praise God what an encouraging and reminding article.

Well, I don't think his praise to God for His healing denies his praise to Him otherwise... He should praise God afterall for this great work... and certainly even if the healing hasn;t been done... :)

The only thing that bothered me about this article was the beginning. "my friend emailed me that his mother's cancer surgery was successful" and then the friend said praises to God. That is what I see is a problem with most people's faith these days.
If God does what they want, answers prayers the way they think they should be answered, well then God is God great and good and all the rest. But, if we have to go through hardships, suffering or losses, then we wonder about this God of ours...is he "all that."
Yes, these are good thoughts on God, but would your friend have written them if his mother had died on the table, or if they had not been successful in her CA treatment? That is where our faith really comes into play.
Like Job, can we rend our clothes cry in the dust and still say "blessed be the name of the Lord who gives and taketh away?" Will we wrestle with God in the hard times and come out with God answering us and humbling us as Job?
