Great article! One of my closest friends of many, many years, has been married twice, so I have had a little practice. Thankfully, both men were great people, so including them in our activities wasn't a struggle. I also found out that they were happy for her to hang out with me. They knew that I was "safe" (translation: I don't hang in bars and pick up men---that was very important to them). The more they got to know me.... the more they trusted me and even encouraged us to do things together... things they considered "girly" and did not want to do anyway (smile). Her current husband jokingly says "take her, take her, so I can have the TV!".
