I really appreciated this article. As an engaged woman who understands the roles of both man and woman in a marriage, I commend the writer's mom and dad for working together and respecting each other's role in the family. My fiance and I are working on establishing our own roles but for now we do everything together. He is in charge of the discipline and I do submit to some of his requests but we also talk it through before I decide to submit b/c sometimes his reasoning may hinder our growth as individuals or as a family. This article is prompting me to write a blog post for engaged women of today. Thanks for the inspiration.

This is a very good article. It takes a very special woman to defer the headship role to her husband even though he is away most of the time. Today women have become so independent that they find it very difficult to be submissive, they think that being submissive is a sign of weakness. I pray for the day when my spouse will recognize that submission is not a sign of weakness instead it is applying the plan the way God intended.
