Three People, Three Firms Charged With Accepting Oil-For-Food Kickbacks

(CNSNews.com) - Three people and three firms have been charged with accepting secret kickbacks Friday from the United Nations' oil-for-food program, the U.S. attorney's office announced Friday. Reuters reports that those charged consist of: Oscar Wyatt Jr., a Texas business executive and former chairman of Coastal Corp.; Catalina del Socorro Miguel Fuentes, a Swiss business executive; and Mohammed Saidji, a Swiss business executive. Also, charged were the following companies: Nafta Petroleum Company Ltd., Mednafta Trading Company Ltd., both based in Cyprus, and Sarenco, a Swiss consulting firm.
