KTAG: Art Festival Opportunities

KinsolvingKids Talk About God Art Opportunities:

Imagine the excitement and interest in the hearts of young children when they draw art that will be considered for publication in nationally distributed books and art exhibits. Fifty children have already had their art published in the Kids Talk About God gift book. This book is now available in 6,000 Gold Crown Hallmark stores through a joint publishing agreement between J. Countryman and Hallmark. Nationally syndicated columnist and author Carey Kinsolving is now gathering art for future KTAG books and KTAG Art Exhibits. More children's art is featured in The Color Me Bible (tentative title) scheduled for release by Tommy Nelson in September of 2002. Upon request, Carey can also provide a list of Bible stories and columns that need illustrating for other book projects.

Very enjoyable. So precious!

KidsKids Talk About God Art Exhibit:

The Smithsonian,The Louvre and the British Museum had better move over.None of these renowned museums have ever shown an art collection like this. This is the best of children’s art collected over several years by Carey. All of the art illustrates Bible characters or themes, and most of it has been published or selected for KTAG books. Each of the 50 pieces contains a title, artist’s name and Scripture verse. For the sake of the exhibit, the original art has been digitized so that all the pieces are 11 X 14 inches. The best of the art gathered from children in your church will be displayed with the 50 pieces from the KTAG Art Collection. Children and adults will be fascinated to view the Biblical world through the eyes of children artists.

Carey KinsolvingKids Talk About God Multimedia Presentation:

Kids really do “say the darndest things,” especially about God and the Bible. Any audience will enjoy hearing and seeing children’s expressions of faith in this multimedia presentation. Carey begins with nine 30-second video clips of children answering some of life’s biggest questions. The clips begin with a 5-year-old girl explaining how God created the world. Children have the answers, and your audience will recognize them as they recall the wonder and innocence of being a child.

After the introductory video clips, Kinsolving features the best from his syndicated newspaper column, Kids Talk About God. The Power Point presentation is a combination of life’s biggest questions illustrated by children’s art and punctuated by their answers. This combination of art and text is featured in the Kids Talk About God gift book and is now available in Hallmark Stores.

This unique presentation can draw people who might not be receptive to sermons, especially if children invite them. In addition to church meetings, this presentation works well for banquets, conferences, retreats and business luncheons such as Rotary Clubs, Kiwanis and others. Following a presentation at a fundraising banquet in the Washington,D.C. area for Bethany Christian Services, director Constance Barry wrote: “So many of our guests have written or called me to say how moved they were by the profound insights of the children. Your presentation set just the right tone for the evening. The delightful artwork and stories were engaging. In the scheduled 30 minutes, you managed to convey the heart of the Gospel and to bring the message to a powerful closure. Carey, you have a God-given gift to reach people in a fresh and dynamic way.”

Kids Talk About God Art Presentation:

The best art from the KTAG Art Exhibit is featured in this Power Point presentation.Like the KTAG Multimedia Presentation,it can reach across barriers to people who might not normally attend a church service. The gospel will be presented in a fresh way through the eyes of young artists.Carey is available to present awards to children in your church or school.

Kinsloving and LangfordKids Talk About God Custom Presentations:

A custom presentation is more likely to result in a larger audience of relatives and friends of children featured in the program. Most custom presentations have a theme. For example, Carey recently produced a program called “Kids Talk About Mom.” Children wrote their answers to the question, “What do you love most about your mom?” They also drew pictures to illustrate their answers. Some children answered several questions about their mothers on camera. The result was an evening program a few days before Mother’s Day that was both entertaining and spiritually challenging.

A gospel presentation followed a video clip of an 8-year-old boy’s testimony that he loved his mother so much he would die for her. The material gathered from children about their moms will be worked into a book manuscript and companion video.

A custom presentation on what children love most about their family is appropriate for any time of the year. A program or festival theme that goes to the heart of the gospel is "Kids Talk About Heaven,"which is a book and video Carey plans to write and produce. This topic makes it very easy to present the gospel. Carey is open to suggestions for other program themes. He will work with you and your staff to design a custom presentation within the limits of your time, production capabilities and budget.

WelbornMission Explorers Video Series Workshop:

Do you know when most American missionaries heard God’s call to the mission field? According to a study by Dr. Morris through the U.S. Center for World Missions, 85 percent heard God ’s call to a life of service on the mission field before the age of 13.

Imagine how incredible it would be if, instead of reading about missions and the courageous people who share the gospel in foreign countries, you could actually take your students on an amazing video journey spanning four continents to visit these far-away places!

There, they would experience what it would be like to live among the Fiji islanders or to visit a remote village in the heart of Africa.

This series is designed to show missions through the eyes and experience of the winner of the Children’s Bible Contest, 11-year-old Hillary Welborn. Kinsolving produced, directed and appeared in this pioneering series in which more than 100 hours of video were shot on a global missions trip.Kinsolving has designed the workshop to interact with children about specific lessons taught in the video segments. Some of the non-denominational mission organizations featured in the series include Ambassadors for Christ International, Awana Clubs International, Every Child Ministries, Far East Broadcasting Company, Food for the Hungry, Operation Mobilization, Pioneers, SIM International, TEAM, Torchbearers and Trans World Radio.

As a Christian education director or teacher, you can take your children on such an extraordinary expedition - without ever leaving your classroom! Let the producer and director of the Mission Explorers Video Series show you how.

This mission workshop is designed to promote children’s concern for people beyond the boundaries of their own neighborhoods.

DrawingHow to Win Your Kids & Sanity Back from the Media:

Do you know researchers have found that brainwaves change when you watch television? Do you understand what this means for the cognitive development of your children? The average American spends more than four hours a day watching television. We live in a media-rich but communication-poor society. As media consumption increases, the quality of family and interpersonal relationships usually diminishes. This is not a media-bashing seminar. Nor is it an attempt to make you feel guilty over lost time and failed opportunities to build relationships with your children and spouse. Carey will recommend specific strategies for consuming media instead of being consumed by it.

Go & Tell Evangelism Training(TM) for Kids:

Research shows that 85 percent of Christians trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior before the age of 14. What better way to spread the good news than by training children to share the message of life?Your kids will learn how to:

1 Start a conversation that generates interest in the gospel.
2 Use their hands to illustrate the gospel.
3 Recall essential elements of the gospel through an acronym.
4 Ask for a decision to trust the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior.

When this training is combined with the Mission Explorers Video Series Workshop, children catch the Acts 1:8 strategy of starting at home and spreading the gospel to the uttermost parts of the world. Children who experience the excitement of leading friends and relatives to Christ are the most likely candidates to become the next generation of foreign missionaries.

This training is open to children from ages 8-12. When accompanied by an adult, children ages 6-7 may also attend.

Consider one of these three combinations or design the combination that's right for your church or school:

Ask about adding a festival workshop for adults and teens. Carey as taught his writing workshop to beginning and experienced Christian writers in churches and on college campuses such as Harvard and Yale. He uses real stories that he wrote for The Washington Post and The New York Times News Service to illustrate good story ideas and proven writing techniques.
