David Oyelowo to Star in Film about Gun Violence

Golden Globe –nominated actor David Oyelowo, star of such films as Captive and Selma, is set to appear in a new film about rampant gun violence in America. Titled Another Day in the Death of America, the film is allegedly based on a book by journalist Gary Young. According to a brief report on Relevant,

“In the book, Younge investigated children, ages 9–19, all of whom were shot dead on the same day in 2013—shockingly, a date he selected at random.”

As a vocal Christian and frequent spokesperson of faith, Oyelowo hopes this new film will help raise the standard of faith-based movies. As of this moment however, no further details about the film have been made public.
