Unbelievable evil is rampant in our world. It's seems unending, more headline news, more innocent lives lost, many times it feels like they're winning. And that's exactly what they want us to believe. But we know better, for in it all, this truth still holds fast: It will not win in the end. It will not.

God is greater. He is Victor. Christ is King.

Like so many of you, my heart is burdened and grieved for all that France is experiencing right now. For whether it's right here in our country or across the sea, most all of us can relate to the evil of terrorism, we know how the enemy can use it to try to instill deep fear and dread. But God's power reigns strong. Greater than any darkness that surrounds.

May He be with these dear people and give huge strength and mercy to the injured, the rescuers, and those who are experiencing such turmoil. Praying with you, that His Powerful Presence would be close to all those who are hurting, for the many who are brokenhearted and have suffered tragic loss, that His great peace and comfort would surround...

Dear God,

We have no words for such grievous loss that many are suffering right now. We ask that you be close to them, that you pour out your grace and mercy for those for those who are hurting, for those who are facing news of death and injury of loved ones, for those who are overwhelmed by fear. We ask that even through the evil acts of terrorism, you would bring stories of life and healing.

Thank you that your word says you are close to the brokenhearted and you save those who are crushed in spirit. Thank you that we can lift our eyes up to you, knowing that our only true source of help and strength comes from you. We ask for great miracles to be brought through this tragedy. We ask for the power of your presence to be made real in that place, and for the comfort of your Spirit to bring a covering of grace and healing.

Thank you for your reminder that though we face trouble and loss in this world, we can be assured that you have overcome it all. Thank you for your Power that defeats the evil that surrounds. We have confidence in You alone. and we stand strong in your Name. We need you Lord, be close to these today...

In Jesus' Name,
Amen

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." Ps. 34:18

"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Is. 41:10

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33
