Here’s a good verse for Monday morning: “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34).

Most of us woke up with a list of things to do this week. We have projects to complete, decisions to make, people to call, problems to solve, issues to confront, loved one to pray for, and some of us have health concerns and financial issues weighing heavily on our minds.

Life can be messy–and often overwhelming. We need God’s help in a big way.

Jesus has some wise counsel for all his fretful, fearful, stressed-out followers:

Don’t borrow trouble.

There’s plenty to be thinking about right now. So many people are frozen with fear over what might happen two or three months down the road. Listen, if God could create the world in seven days, he can surely handle your problems in November and December.

He got next March covered too.

Each day has enough trouble to keep you plenty busy. You take care of today and God will take care of tomorrow.
