Good is Evil and Evil is Good

I don’t want to say I told you so … but… I told you so!

How many times have I said that if a culture decides that sexual behavior is no longer a moral discussion and that sexuality is defined by behavioral choices rather than biological facts, that such a culture would find it impossible to find ANY reason to say that ANY sexual acts are unacceptable.

Now many have suggested I’m an “alarmist” and a “sky is falling conservative.” Many have said that a broader definition of marriage, for example, surely will have no adverse effect on the rest of us who really don’t care what other people do in their private lives.  Many have concluded that folks like me should stop trying to legislate morality and stop being fixated on social issues. 

Well onFebruary 28 there was a bill presented in a session of the Canadian parliament where “experts” claimed that pedophilia is a biological preference that cannot be helped and cannot be changed and therefore should not be stigmatized as criminal.  One retired professor from the University of Montreal, in testifying in favor of the bill specifically said, “Pedophiles are … grappling with what is equivalent to a sexual orientation just like another individual...” and that “pedophiles have an exclusive preference” that cannot be change.

Now does this argument sound familiar?  Are you really ready to slide further down a slope?  Are you really ready to use this logic to argue that it’s a “protected preference” for adults to use kids for their own sexual gratification?  

Last question: As you look into the eyes of children being used by pedophiles under the guise of “biological orientation”, do you really believe we should stop legislating morality?
