Orwell's Glossary

Well, our highly intelligent government officials have finally made it a lot easier for the poorly educated, such as you and me, to expand our vocabularies and thereby understand the wisdom of those we have elected.

Here is a glossary of terms, just produced, for our convenience.

Change:A vacuous term that can mean anything progressives want it to mean; a subjective concept that can be wielded to the advantage of political power, personal whim, or populace propaganda; a very efficient weapon in the hands of a demagogue or tyrant especially when used in cooperation with a complicit media.

Angry Mob:Any group of people who disagree with the meaningless manipulation of the word “change.” In other words, a mob is anyone who challenges the present administration on matters such as socialized healthcare, the bankrupting of our economy, the moral nihilism of same-sex marriage, or the intellectual lunacy of “green” economics.

Security Threat:All of those “right-wing extremists” who believe in securing our national borders, fighting for our national sovereignty, defending private property, and upholding the rule of law as defined by the Constitution.

Healthcare Reform: Taking a healthcare system that by virtue of its reputation for quality draws patients from around the world and discarding it in favor of the broken model that such patients seek to avoid in their own respective countries.

Fiscal Responsibility:Any taxing and spending advocated by the present administration. The antithesis is, by definition, any and all actions taken by “extremists” who seek to restrict the President and Congress in their efforts to spend the American people into multi-generational insolvency

Thankful:What you and I are all expected to be as Big Brother exchanges traditional truths for lies of personal convenience and political expediency.

Sheep being led to slaughter: You fill in the blank _____.
